Salsa classes in Athens
From your very first step to playful partnerwork, our salsa programme in Kerameikos is Salsa On2: built around connection, musicality and a floor that feels like home.

Who these classes are for
Complete beginners, returning dancers and improvers all have a place. If you've never danced before, start with Salsa First Time and then Salsa Beginners. If you already have basics, Improvers and our specialty classes give you room to grow without rushing.
What styles we teach
Around the world, people dance Cuban salsa, On1 and On2 (NY style). At The Art of Salsa we start with Salsa On2: that's the timing we dance and the foundation of every salsa class. We also explain the base of Cuban and On1, so you can recognise them on a social floor and understand how they relate. At the root, they share much of the same music and concepts. You'll leave able to dance On2, and with knowledge of the other styles.
Levels & what you'll work on
We mark levels clearly on the schedule: from intro for first timers, through your first beginner course, into improvers and specialty. Across the week you'll meet partnerwork, body movement, musicality and the kind of social-dance habits that help on a real dance floor, not only in practice drills. We dance Salsa On2, and we also show how it sits next to Cuban and On1 so you understand the bigger picture.
How we teach salsa
We teach Salsa On2. We care about how dance feels between two people. Technique matters, but so do timing, listening and the joy of moving together. Classes are progressive: you build week by week with teachers who dance what they teach, and we explain the base of Cuban and On1 so you can recognise them too.
Who teaches
Nando and Margarita lead much of the salsa programme, with Gogo alongside. You'll see the exact teacher on each class in the Athens schedule.
Where, when & how to join
We teach at Art Projects, Konstantinoupoleos Ave. 83, in Kerameikos. Salsa runs across Tuesday and Thursday evenings. Spots for the opening weeks are limited. Save your spot via Contact, or browse the full class schedule first.
