Fernando Lasso

✨ Nando

Fernando began his journey in salsa as a social dancer while working in finance, where his connection to music and movement quickly grew into something far beyond a hobby. Three years ago, he made the decision to leave his career behind and fully dedicate himself to dance. Since then, he has traveled extensively to train, learn, and perform, appearing on some major salsa stages while continuously staying grounded in the social dancing community that shaped him.

He is especially known for remaining on the social floor from the first song to the last, dancing with people of all levels and placing equal value on every interaction, from beginner to advanced dancers. For him, social dance is not about status or performance, but about shared moments, musical connection, and presence in the music.

Beyond performing and teaching, Fernando is deeply committed to creating dialogue within the salsa scene. Through both conversation and his podcast work, he explores different perspectives in the community, encouraging openness, reflection, and exchange between dancers, artists, and instructors.
